HPE Lawsuit Against ‘Aggressive’ Patent Holder Moves Forward

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. can continue its bid for a court order that its “Intelligent Edge Aruba” products don’t infringe patents held by a global invention and investment business, which a federal magistrate judge described as having an “aggressive” patent enforcement strategy.

Intellectual Ventures I LLC’s strategy included multiple lawsuits against HPE, with the threat of more to come, Magistrate Judge Christopher Burke of the US District Court for the District of Delaware said Dec. 2 in denying early dismissal of the case.
