HP, Yealink Hit With Patent Suits For VoIP Tech Products

Estech Systems IP LLC sued four communications equipment companies, including two HP Inc. units, for infringing multiple patents by selling phones and business products that work with voice over internet protocol technology.

Yealink Network Technology Co. Ltd., NEC Corporation of America, and HP units Polycom Inc. and Plantronics Inc. sell several products that use VoIP for telecommunications, voicemail directory services, and other functions, Estech said.

Estech filed separate, but similar complaints Thursday against the communications equipment companies in the US District Courts for the Northern District of Texas, Eastern District of Texas, and Western District of Texas.
