HP Enterprises to Seek $200 Million From Inspur in Patent Suit

China’s Inspur Group Co. could be on the hook for more than $200 million if Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. convinces a federal jury the cloud-computing company, included on a US government threat list, used patented server technology without permission, according to a court filing.

HPE’s calculation was based on its alleged lost profits and a reasonable royalty, according to a joint case management statement filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
