Influencer-founded Hot Girl Walk LLC sued Fashion Nova LLC, saying the fast-fashion retailer is selling merchandise that infringes its trademarks as part of a scheme to exploit “popular, innovative brands.”
The “iconic” Hot Girl Walk trademark was coined in a 2021 TikTok video by company founder Amelia Lind, then a student at the University of Southern California. Hot Girl Walk has collaborated with brands including Reebok, Lululemon, and fitness app Strava, but it never authorized Fashion Nova to use its marks, according to its complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
