Hopewell Wins Stay of Merck Suit Over MS Treatment Patents

Hopewell Pharma Ventures Inc. convinced a federal judge to stay Merck Serono SA’s lawsuit alleging infringement related to its Mavenclad multiple sclerosis treatment after two of the patents were invalidated.

The case will be paused until Merck’s Federal Circuit appeals of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board decisions are resolved, according to an order issued Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
