Honeywell, Zebra Settle Barcode Scanner Import Patent Dispute

Industrial conglomerate Honeywell International Inc. and Zebra Technologies Corp. reached a deal to end a wide-ranging trade dispute over whether the rivals have been importing handheld barcode scanners that violate each other’s patents.

The US International Trade Commission issued a notice Thursday granting a joint motion to terminate a trade case investigation and acknowledged that the parties had hammered out a licensing deal.
