Honeywell Obtains First Chinese Patent Enforcement Order

Zibo Municipal Intermediate People’s Court in China’s Shandong province has ordered a local company, Zibo Chemical Technology Co. Ltd, to stop its infringement of a process patent for producing HFC-245fa, a material that is used widely around the world including in energy-efficient closed-cell insulation for items like refrigerators, which Honeywell has legally held in China since July 2009, a company representative told Bloomberg BNA on July 15.
