Honeywell, Lone Star in Settlement Talks Over Infringement Scope

Honeywell International Inc. and Lone Star Aerospace Inc. asked a Texas federal judge to pause their software patent-infringement lawsuit while they conduct settlement discussions over the scope of a defense regarding an immunity statute.

Honeywell and Lone Star asked for a 90-day stay of proceedings, and said the settlement discussions could impact Lone Star’s infringement liability and reduce Honeywell’s claims, according to a joint motion to stay filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
