Hollywood Studios Win $62 Million From Sanitized Streaming Site

VidAngel Inc., a streaming service that strips nudity and bad language from movies and TV shows per viewers’ instructions, was hit with a $62 million jury verdict for willfully infringing the copyrights of Hollywood movie studios.

A federal jury in Los Angeles on June 17 returned a verdict of $75,000 in statutory damages for each of the 819 works VidAngel infringed.
