Hollywood Casino Hit With Patent Suit Over Betting on Mobile App

A technology company sued the owner of Hollywood Casino, accusing it of using patented single-action betting technology in its mobile app without permission.

Penn Entertainment Inc. and its subsidiary Penn Interactive Ventures LLC infringed two patents covering technology that allows gamblers to place bets and start games with a single tap or click on mobile devices, according to Single Action Bet Tech LLC’s complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
