Hinkley Lighting Under USITC Tariff Act Violations Investigation

The US International Trade Commission voted to investigate certain LED landscape lighting devices, components thereof, and products containing them, the agency announced Monday.

A complaint by Wangs Alliance Corporation, doing business as WAC Lighting in Port Washington, N.Y., alleges violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the US and sale of LEDs that infringe on their patents, the USITC said.

The respondent in the investigation has been identified as Hinkley Lighting Inc., of Avon Lake, Ohio, the Commission said.
