Hetronic $96 Million Trademark Win Slashed After High Court Loss

An Oklahoma federal judge slashed Hetronic’s $96 million trademark award to about $260,000 after the US Supreme Court rejected the original award of damages covering almost entirely foreign sales.

Hetronic International Inc. keeps a $22.5 million award, plus interest, for breach of contract and other claims—unchallenged before the high court—in an amended final judgment issued Monday against defendants including Abitron Germany GmgH by the US District Court for the District of Oklahoma.
