Helsinn Wins, Teva Loses in Aloxi Patent Case

A New Jersey federal court has entered final judgment in a patent infringement case involving Helsinn Healthcare SA’s anti-nausea drug Aloxi, ruling that Teva’s proposed generic version would infringe multiple patents, Helsinn announced Nov. 17 (Helsinn Healthcare SA v. Dr. Reddy’s Lab., Ltd.final judgment entered ).

In the final judgment in the case, signed by Judge Mary L. Cooper of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Cooper found that the majority of Helsinn’s formulation patent claims on the drug are valid.
