Health Providers’ Meta-Pixel Dragnet Suit Moved to Federal Court

Allina Health System and other health care providers removed to federal court a proposed class action accusing them of collecting patients’ data and sharing it with third parties including Meta Platforms Inc.

The lawsuit, which targets Allina Health, Essentia Health, Health Partners, and St. Francis Regional Medical Center, meets the diversity, class size, and amount-in-controversy requirements of the Class Action Fairness Act, they argued in a notice of removal filed on Nov. 1 in the US District Court for the District of Minnesota.
