Hayward Close to Settling Case on Knockoff Salt Cells for Pools

Hayward Holdings’ Hayward Industries unit is close to settling a lawsuit over allegations that Upward Sales and four related companies infringe trademarks by selling knockoff versions of replacement salt chlorination cells for swimming pools, a court filing says.

  • U.S. District Judge Zahid Quraishi said case “has been settled” and administratively closed it for 60 days pending settlement’s consummation, according to order issued Wednesday in federal court in Trenton, New Jersey
