Luxury dress designer Hayley Paige Gutman argued that the Second Circuit should return her 1.1 million-follower Instagram account after a court turned it over to JLM Couture Inc.

Gutman, who designed luxury wedding dresses under the Hayley Paige brand, told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that a lower court had no basis to give JLM control over her account in a preliminary injunction. She also argued at oral argument that JLM breached the contract through nonpayment of royalties, voiding a non-compete clause at issue in the parties’ contract dispute.
