Hatch Baby Inc. accused competitor Ilovehue LLC of infringing the smart clock maker’s patents and trade dress by selling products that look like its Hatch Restore sunrise clock models.
Hatch also alleged Ilovehue has taken steps to drive away its customers, including by criticizing its prices in social media advertisements, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
Hatch said Ilovehue infringed US Patent 12,193,833, which protects a multifunction device for improving sleep, and US Design Patent No. D1,060,799 which covers a nightlight.
