Hasbro Inc. failed to convince the US Supreme Court to take a closer look at the denial of attorneys’ fees in its victory in keeping the copyright to “The Game of Life” from the estate of its lead creator.

The gamemaker argued the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit broke with high court precedent by finding fees inappropriate unless the losing party in a copyright dispute’s claim was especially weak.
