Haas Automation Inc. asked the Ninth Circuit to dismiss its appeal of a trademark lawsuit loss against former Formula One team principal Guenther Steiner, saying the parties agreed to dismissal with prejudice.
The Thursday stipulated motion to voluntarily dismiss comes six months after a California district court tossed Haas’s suit accusing Steiner of infringing Haas’s trademarks in his 2023 autobiography, “Surviving to Drive: A Year Inside Formula 1.” Steiner served as team principal of Haas’s Formula One Team from 2016 to 2023.
Counsel for Haas, Steiner, and the book’s publisher, Ten Speed Press, didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment. ...
