Gucci Group and Guess? Inc. have settled a trademark dispute over use of an interlocking “G” logo.
The rival fashion companies didn’t disclose the terms of the settlement in an April 19 announcement, but said it ended worldwide disputes ongoing as far back as 2009.
“The agreement is an important step for both companies in recognizing the significance of protecting their respective intellectual property portfolios and design creativity,” the two companies said in their statement.
The dispute centered on Gucci’s claims that Guess infringed its trade dress rights by producing goods bearing a diamond-shaped pattern of interlocking “G” shapes. A ...
