Gucci Accuses Nevada Gun Club of Counterfeiting in Federal Suit

Fashion brand Gucci America Inc. sued Nevada hobbyist shooting group Gucci Gun Club LLC, alleging trademark infringement, counterfeiting, and related claims.

Gucci Gun Club is using Gucci’s famous trademarks, including the stylized “GUCCI” wordmark, the interlocking “GG” logo, and the green-red-green signature stripe pattern, without authorization on its website, merchandise, and marketing materials, according to a complaint filed Aug. 8 in the US District Court for the District of Nevada. Gucci America alleges Lanham Act violations including counterfeiting, infringement, unfair competition, false designation of origin, false advertising, and dilution, as well as Nevada state law claims.
