Grunt Style ‘This We’ll Defend’ Trademark Win Upheld on Appeal

Grunt Style LLC convinced the Seventh Circuit to endorse a lower court’s cancellation of a pro-gun apparel company’s infringing “This We’ll Defend” trademark registration.

TWD LLC, a California-based company, failed to undermine Grunt Style’s claims that it had used “This We’ll Defend” as a trademark since 2011, the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said Wednesday.

An Illinois federal court found TWD had infringed the mark, and Grunt Style eventually was awarded $739,000 in damages in addition to the registration’s cancellation.
