Google Wins Restraining Order Extension in IP Suit (Correct)

A California federal judge extended an order prohibiting a venture lender from selling products allegedly worth more than $100 million because they might contain Google LLC’s confidential semiconductor manufacturing information.

Calling the trade secrets litigation “complicated,” Judge Beth Labson Freeman said Thursday the temporary restraining order against Point Financial Inc. will remain in effect for two more weeks to provide her time to rule on Google’s motion for a longer injunction. Freeman said she plans to grant Google a preliminary injunction on its contractual interference claim so it can continue manufacturing chips, but she called its trade secret claim “weak” ...
