Google Wants USC Image-Mapping Patent Suit Moved to California

Google LLC told a Texas federal judge the University of Southern California’s lawsuit accusing the tech giant’s map features of patent-infringement is better placed in the Golden State, where both parties are based.

Employees who have familiarity with the design and source code for the allegedly infringing Earth, Maps, and Street View products are in California, Google said in a motion to transfer the case to the Northern District of California.
