Google, Sonos ‘Patent Showdown’ in California Bumped to October

An anticipated “patent showdown” in a dispute between Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC and Sonos Inc. over wireless sound technology won’t happen until October, a federal judge in California ruled, delaying a trial that had been slated for mid-July.

Judge William Alsup, in an order Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, moved the trial from its scheduled July 14 start to Oct. 3 in San Francisco.
