Google Seeks Ruling It Doesn’t Infringe Open Source Patents

Google LLC urged a federal judge to rule that it doesn’t infringe nine patents covering data monitoring technology previously owned by Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Google’s management services for three open-source software platforms don’t infringe any of the patents now owned by Valtrus Innovations Ltd., according to the declaratory judgment lawsuit filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
