Google Hit With Patent Suit Over YouTube Live Video Streaming

Google’s YouTube Live video-streaming service infringes five patents related to techniques for streaming video and voice communications over networks, according to a new federal lawsuit.

Voxer, Inc. and Voxer IP LLC accused Google LLC and YouTube LLC of infringing patents describing methods that enable users to participate in multimedia conversations in real-time or time-shifted modes without first establishing end-to-end connections, in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Voxer alleges infringement of US Patent Nos. 10,142,270, 10,511,557, 11,146,516, 11,658,929, and 11,777,883.
