A federal judge in California rejected
VirtaMove Corp. sued Google in late 2025 for alleged infringement of US Patent No. 7,774,762, and Google responded by seeking dismissal. It argued VirtaMove hadn’t shown the products it was targeting in the suit matched a required step in the ‘762 patent, which relates to technology for a portable computing environment for software applications.
