Google and Facebook Knock Out Two More Website-Building Patents

Facebook, Google LLC, and several other tech companies successfully zapped two patents that are part of an ongoing litigation campaign againt them, convincing an administrative tribunal to invalidate parts of the patents Wednesday.

The patents, which relate to website creation and display technology, have been asserted by Express Mobile Inc. in dozens of cases. The suits, many of which were filed in the Western District of Texas, allege patent infringement by companies including Facebook, Google, Salesforce Inc., and Amazon.com Inc.
