Google, Amazon Infringed Voice-Control System Patents, Suits Say

Google LLC and Amazon.com Inc. were accused of infringing a trio of voice-control system patents, according to separate lawsuits, which target products including Google Home and Amazon Echo.

SoundClear Technologies LLC sued the two companies Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. It said Google and Amazon devices infringe US Patent Nos. 11,069,337; 11,244,675; and 9,223,487.

SoundClear sued Amazon and Google in the same district in May, alleging infringement a different set of patents focused on noise reduction and cancellation.
