GM Finalizes Design-Patent Settlement With Aftermarket Seller

A General Motors Co. unit and aftermarket car-parts maker LKQ Corp. have ended an administrative tribunal dispute over the validity of the Detroit automaker’s design patent covering a car fender.

Terms weren’t publicly disclosed in the joint motion to terminate filed Wednesday at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board by LKQ and GM Global Technology Operations LLC.
