GM, Facet Auto Tech Suit Put on Pause Pending Patent Challenges

Facet Technology Corp., General Motors LLC, and the automaker’s suppliers convinced a Texas federal judge to pause proceedings in their dispute over chips in vehicles pending the outcome of an administrative tribunal’s review.

The companies told the court in a March 17 motion to stay that the Patent and Trial and Appeal Board is reviewing challenges concerning US Patent Nos. 9,335,255 and 9,671,328, both related to assessing reflective objects along a road.
