Gillette, Dollar Shave Club Settle Razor Patent Case

Gillette Co. and Dollar Shave Club Inc., settled a patent infringement case involving a Gillette razor blade patent, a March 29 joint filing said.

Dollar Shave Club allegedly infringed Gillette’s patent by selling razors that include its four-layer razor blade technology.

Gillette’s patent covers a razor blade with four layers: a substrate with a cutting edge, a layer of carbon coating on the cutting edge, an overcoat layer of chromium material, and an outer layer.
