Gerry Spence Settles Trademark Row Over ‘Trial Lawyers College’

Famed trial attorney Gerry Spence ended a dispute over the trademark rights to the name “Trial Lawyers College” after reaching a confidential settlement with the organization he founded and later left.

Spence agreed not to use the trademark, while the Trial Lawyers College agreed not to use Spence’s name, image, or likeness or the logo for the “Gerry Spence Method,” according to a Wednesday order from the US District Court for the District of Wyoming.
