Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories Inc. has offered enough details of a “targeted raid” of its sales operations to proceed with claims against another call-center software maker, Talkdesk, and four of Genesys’s former employees, a federal court in Indiana ruled Nov. 6.
Genesys alleges Talkdesk Inc. attacked Genesys’s “mid-market segment, including all of its top leadership,” in order to cripple its sales in that segment. Half of the Genesys mid-market sales operation’s vice presidents, two-thirds of the area directors, and a quarter of the sales directors allegedly left and went to Talkdesk.
