Fujifilm Sues Kodak for Royalties on Chemical-Free Printing Tech

Fujifilm Corp. alleges in a federal lawsuit that Eastman Kodak Co.’s “processless” lithographic printing plates infringe four patents.

Kodak’s Sonora X and Sonora Xtra process-free plates infringe US Patent Nos. 10,427,443; 10,525,696; 10,875,346; and 11,294,279, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. The subsidiary of Tokyo-based Fujifilm Holdings Corp. seeks damages for infringement including royalties and an order blocking Kodak from further unauthorized use of its inventions.
