An adult entertainment club in Providence, R.I., sued a similarly named Florida club for trademark infringement over the mark “Foxy Lady.”
In a complaint filed in the Southern District of Florida on Wednesday, Gulliver’s Tavern, Inc.—which also goes by the name Foxy Lady—said Foxxy Lady Cabaret uses a “confusingly similar variation” of its registered “Foxy Lady” trademark to target the same market. The complaint accuses Foxxy Lady of attempting to trade on the goodwill of the Providence club and create an association between the two clubs.
