Fox Corp. and Fox Broadcasting Company LLC unfairly copied technology used to schedule and broadcast live NFL events, according to a patent-infringement lawsuit filed Tuesday.
Boston-based Recentive Analytics Inc. said in its Delaware district court complaint that the Fox units violate US Patent Nos. 10,911,811 and 10,958,957 with software used to plan NFL broadcasts. The patents cover Recentive’s predictive analytics tool, which accounts for weather, news, and gambling data and “generates network maps that optimize content on a regional basis to maximize viewership,” the company said.
