Fox, Sony, Warner Bros. Must Face LED Tube-Light Patent Claims

Moviemaking heavyweights including Warner Bros. Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Fox Corp. must keep defending against claims they copied patented LED tube lights after a Delaware federal judge largely denied their dismissal bids.

Colt International Clothing Inc. can’t seek some pre-suit damages from Fox, the Sony Group Corp. and Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. units, and Videndum Plc’s Quasar Science LLC, Judge William C. Bryson ruled while leaving the bulk of the case intact, according to an opinion issued Sept. 19 in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Colt also lost certain willful-infringement claims against Warner Bros.
