Fox News Network LLC has settled a copyright infringement lawsuit over its alleged use of a photograph of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York issued an order Feb. 21 noting that the news network and photographer Jesse Korman had resolved the dispute in principle. Settlement details haven’t been released.
Korman alleged in a July complaint that the network infringed his copyright by reproducing and “publicly displaying” his photo of Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) during a television broadcast. Korman argued he was entitled to damages and profits.
