Founder of Furniture Store Accused of Trademark Infringement

The founder of high-end furniture store H.D. Buttercup violated his non-compete and sold products with infringing trademarks after the company was acquired, a new lawsuit says.

Coco Republic Inc. says Evan Cole, with help from his family members, violated the terms of their acquisition agreement and continues to sell furniture using marks related to H.D. Buttercup that were part of Coco Republic’s asset purchase agreement.
