A new area in Epic Games Inc.'s massive hit video game “Fortnite” infringes a Florida museum’s trademarks, according to a complaint filed Friday in Miami federal court.
The owner of the Coral Castle says Fortnite’s Coral Castle resembles the museum and uses the name without its permission.
The Coral Castle is a limestone structure in South Florida with a garden of megalithic stones. The complaint says the castle is “noted for legends surrounding its creation,” and has been called Florida’s Stonehenge based on its mysterious background. Coral Castle Inc. owns two federal “Coral Castle” trademarks.
