Fortinet says it’s a “global leader in the networking and security space” and has been using the Fortinet name since its founding in 2000. According to the complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday, Fortanix began using its name to sell similar cybersecurity, encryption, and network security-related goods and services “long after” Fortinet started using its trademark.
