VPN Technology Holdings LLC accused Fortinet, Inc. of infringing Patent No. 7,844,718 in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
The patent relates to a system and method for automatically configuring a remote computer to establish a VPN connection with a network. Fortinet’s “FortiClient” product infringes at least claim 1 of the ‘718 patent, according to the complaint.
