Ford Shouldn’t Have Escaped $105 Million Verdict, Fed. Cir. Says

Ford Motor Co. wrongly escaped damages when a judge nullified a $105 million jury verdict that it had stolen from Versata Software Inc.'s software that it had been licensing, the Federal Circuit said.

A federal judge improperly reduced the award to $3 based on a lack of evidence, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said as it restored an $82.3 million breach of contract award and ordered a new trial on trade secrets damages.
