Fire & Flood Says Oregon Firm Copied Patented Suppression Tech

High-volume wildfire suppression systems that an Oregon-based company pitched to Los Angeles agencies copy Fire & Flood Emergency Services Ltd.'s patented method for creating protective humidity barriers, the Canadian firm said in a federal lawsuit.

Wildfire Water Solutions Inc.'s hose-and-pump wildfire suppression systems infringe US Patent No. 12,533,537 by using large-diameter hoses, distributed water-dispensing devices, and staged pumping to maintain pressure, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
