Financial solutions firm Waterfield Enterprises LLC accused Zephyr Management LP of infringing its trademark by using a similar name for its Zephyr Waterfield US Funds LLC unit.
Zephyr’s use of the mark is an “obvious attempt to trade on Waterfield’s goodwill,” the company said in a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Parent company Zephyr Management and Zephyr Wealth LLC are also listed as defendants.
Zephyr’s actions are “likely to cause confusion, mistake, or deception by purchasers as to the source of its services, funds, and investment options,” the complaint said. That confusion ...
