FIGS Inc., a leading US manufacturer of medical uniforms, sued a tiny rival for selling copies of its best-selling scrub shirts in a bid to “pass them off” as patented designs. The competitor counters that FIGS is just trying to bully the little guy.
Blue Sky Scrubs LLC, based in Austin, Texas, is selling stretchy, v-neck scrub shirts with design details that deliberately mimic FIGS’s “Leon” top, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
