Feds’ Computer Seizure in Becton Dickinson Trade Secrets Case OK

A former research engineer for medical device company Becton, Dickinson, and Company failed to convince the District of Utah to suppress evidence in a federal criminal case accusing him of illegally downloading trade secrets.

Warrants allowing for the search and seizure of Minh Hoang’s computer devices were signed by an FBI special agent that properly relied on information from Becton Dickinson attorneys, Judge Tena Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah said.
