FedEx Accuses Apkudo of Infringing Robot, Data Removal Patents

FedEx Supply Chain Logistics and Electronics Inc. sued Apkudo Inc. for allegedly infringing six patents covering technology to process returned cell phones and tablets.

Apkudo pilfered FedEx’s technology for robotic vehicles and wiping customers’ data during a prior subcontracting arrangement, and then employed those techniques to cut FedEx out of work with T-Mobile, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Apkudo didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
